Lance Camper Manufacturing Corporation participated in the 7th annual Overland Expo May 16-18 in Mormon Lake, Arizona southeast of Flagstaff. This event is the world’s most unique event for do-it-yourself adventure travel enthusiasts, with classes for 4-wheel drive and adventure motorcycling, inspirational programs, the Overland Film Festival, roundtable discussions, demonstrations, food, and a large expo featuring over 180 vendors of adventure travel gear, bikes, vehicles, and services.

This was Lance’s first experience displaying at the Expo and according to Bob Rogers - Director of Marketing, it won’t be the last. “I have known of the Overland Expo for a few years now and have watched it grow into a world class event with over 7K in attendance this year”. Bob continues, “I was a bit apprehensive as to how many Lance customers and prospects would be there and was blown away with the number of truck campers there, and the interest our new Lance 1052 Truck Camper with the ultraDECKplus bumper, generated”. Rogers also mentions, “…it was also very cool to be able to partner in our display with one of our customers, Brian Towell, who was conducting a seminar on ‘How to Select a Truck and Truck Camper’. “Brian is extremely knowledgeable about the technical side of things, especially while using a flat bed truck as a platform as well as how to prepare for extreme cold weather camping, which he and his wife LaDawn have done often.”

Lance also had an “Enter-to-Win” lead generating sweepstakes, with a lucky participant receiving a Tundra 45 cooler by YETI, valued at $350.

The event had everything from tents to $500K extreme off road ready rigs. Land Rover was also a major sponsor and prepared a driving course to showcase their products’ attributes. Everyone there shared a common bond of a love for adventure travel, and as the Overland Expo motto states: Get outfitted. Get trained. Get inspired. Get going….the world is waiting.

"We stayed extremely busy showing the all-new 1052 model, which surprised a lot of people with how much room our newest double slide, dry bath floor plan provides” Bob added. “I talked to customers who own a Lance, people that have product on order, as well as folks that had never considered a truck camper until they saw the quality and creature comforts of the unit we had on display, now some are seriously considering purchasing a Lance”.
