|Make Your Own Travel Pillow|
Traveling in your Lance Camper brings fun and adventure, but sometimes sitting in your seat during travel time can be a pain in the neck. If that's the case for you and you don't mind a little DIY project to spend some of your time, then making your own travel pillow may be just the project for you.
Whether you're the driver and want to relieve some neck ache or you're just a passenger looking for a more comfortable ride, this is a quick and easy project that doesn't need specialized equipment or experience.
Gather your supplies first:
Take the paper (9"x12" is fine) and fold it in half, then divide it into a grid of one inch squares. Draw the outer curve of the pillow from the 3rd square from the top right and draw it down to the bottom of the paper where you'll then U-turn into the inner curve, which should terminate at about the 4th square down on the right side. Once you've got a shape that you like, cut it out.
Double fold (once vertically and once horizontally) your fabric and then place this paper pattern over your fabric and cut around it so that you have two fabric pieces of the same shape and size.
Connect the two fabric cutouts back to back with pins and then sew them together (or use fabric glue). If you sew, use back stitches all around with 1/4" seam allowance, leaving about a 4" gap on the top. Make small slits on the seam allowance about an inch apart all the way around (be careful not to cut the stitch).
Now turn it inside out and iron. It's time to stuff it now -- make sure to stuff it as tightly as possible for a firm and full pillow. Close up the remaining gap and your DIY travel pillow is complete!
