With the additional structure needed in many new Lance models to support full-wall slideouts and sub-floor compartments, aluminum was chosen as the optimum framing material because of its rigid properties, consistent strength and low weight.
To build an aluminum-framed camper to match the reliability and strength of our wood-framed campers, we use a proprietary design, construction and assembly process: LanceLock.
LanceLock assures precision assembly through its welded aluminum framing, specially designed aluminum extrusion-fasteners, and high-pressure bonded lamination.

The LanceLock structure
.060 Alodine®-coated aluminum framing
The LanceLock structure starts with welded .060-inch wall thickness, aircraft-grade aluminum framing – coated with Alodine (enhancing the molecular bonding of the metal during the LanceLock process) – and assembled within a precision jig system.
Total comfort insulation
Solid, high-density rigid block foam insulation is used throughout the entire camper – creating a strongs total thermally protected enclosure for all-season use.
Structural Filon® paneling
Filon reinforced fiberglass panels make up the exterior, exterior and seamless TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) roof material seals the structure – providing durability and low maintenance.
Interlocking aluminum extrusions
Custom designed extrusions fasten LanceLock laminated structural panels together adding strength while assuring a tight-tolerance fit.
